For years, Persyou has worked with people and organisations to unlock potential, develop leaders and create lasting positive change through coaching and development. But as the world around us changes, recently we’ve been asking ourselves the question: How do we prepare people not just to succeed today, but to shape what comes next?
We’ve been looking at ourselves as an organisation, the work we do and the impact we make, and we’ve realised that as the world shifts and changes, we need to embark on a new chapter.
A chapter we’re calling Shaping Human Futures.
At Persyou we’ve always adopted pioneering approaches to our coaching and development. However, we recognise that schools and other education organisations are going through huge change. Changes around them mean the need for new skills and different approaches, at the same time as tackling the same internal issues we’ve long seen, from staff and student retention and recruitment to leadership capacity and the creation of lasting culture-wide impact.
Changes in technology, including the development of AI, mean that building a resilient workforce requires a fundamental shift in how we approach people development. We need to take it from static, compliance-driven training to an evidence-based ecosystem that develops human capabilities. Research from the OECD, World Economic Forum, McKinsey, WHO and the Teacher Development Trust highlights the growing importance of adaptability, agency, social and emotional skills, wellbeing and sustained professional learning.
It’s clear to us that development for the world today and the world of the future needs to grow and evolve into something that’s human-centred, evidence-led and designed for real-world impact. That’s why our new chapter is about building a wider ecosystem of people development that goes beyond coaching and looks at the whole picture, from people, leadership and culture, to confidence, purpose and potential.
At its simplest, Shaping Human Futures is based on one belief: The future is who we become.
Shaping Human Futures goes beyond traditional coaching. It’s about Persyou acting as a strategic people development partner, working with schools and organisations that want to move beyond conventional training and create development that has real, lasting impact.
It doesn't mean we’re abandoning coaching completely. We recognise that it remains an important and powerful part of what we do, but instead of being the sole approach, it’s one tool within a wider ecosystem of development.
This ecosystem involves three elements: Discovery, Modules and Pathways.
Discovery is about us listening and getting up close and personal with organisations, finding out how they work and the unique challenges they are facing. Once we’ve got right under the skin of that organisation, we can identify areas of development that could have the greatest impact.
After this, our range of Modules provide opportunities to address those areas, from resilience, team and group development to HR and talent development, immersive projects and more. Delivered by specialists, they can be tailored to different stakeholders across the school community, from pupils and staff to leaders and parents.
Those Modules are then brought together through our Human Futures Pathways approach, creating a longer-term journey that brings meaningful change. We offer three phases of pathways allowing you to progressively engage your community at different levels, providing clear evidence of impact at every stage.
The aim is to move towards integrated development that supports wider, sustainable change, rather than delivering isolated, disjointed interventions then walking away. Instead of adopting a one-size-fits-all approach and expecting to achieve results, Shaping Human Features means an entirely bespoke solution for every organisations which in turn will create meaningful change at a time when they need it most.
Shaping Human Futures isn't simply a new strapline or brand for us. It represents where we believe people development needs to go and the role we want to play in that journey.
Education has always been about more than preparing people for what already exists. It’s about helping people to imagine and prepare for what could come next. Our vision is a world where human potential shapes a better future.
